Much of our business is involved with family
reunions. The family below enjoyed our food and service so much that
they returned again this summer for the fourth time. Almost half of our business is repeat
business. We feel that this is a testimony to our staff and our
reputation as a quality caterer.
This is the Schroeder family from Lansing,
Michigan in 2005. The couple in the middle celebrated their 50th
wedding
anniversary at Garden City Beach on Sunday July 24th, 2005. We catered their family dinner.
Mr. Schroeder
is a retired Lutheran Minister. Obviously they enjoyed our food and
service as they have returned
every two years since. We love to cater to families like this.
Twenty of the family returned again in 2007 to celebrate Mrs. Schroeder's 75th birthday and then again in 2009 to
celebrate Mr. Schroeder's 80th birthday. They always celebrate by renting
a beach house in Garden City and having
us cater a low country dinner at the beach. The menu usually consists of Grilled Atlantic Salmon, dry rubbed
baby back ribs, hickory smoked barbecue pork, grilled chicken breasts, Frogmore stew, grilled veggie kabobs
with eggplant, yellow squash, zuchinni, tomatoes and onion, Italian green beans with almonds, a fresh garden
salad and all the iced tea and lemonade they could drink.
Well here they are again, August 1, 2011. The kids are getting bigger and they have added a few more
grandchildren but the Schroeders haven't aged a bit. This year we celebrated Mrs. Schroeder's 79th
birthday. That's her with the long necklace.
This year they all wore hats. I managed to gather five of the women with big hats for this photo. Can you see where
these girls get their good looks? The lady on the far right is celebrating her 79th birthday. Can you believe it?
I couldn't resist this one. I love berets. This girl has a PhD in physics and is a
stay at home mom with her two boys. Meeting people like this is why I love my job.
