Vanna White was back home for a family reunion
on July 1st. We were contracted to supply barbecue pork, grilled
chicken breasts, low country rice, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad,
dinner rolls, iced tea, and lemonade for 125 of her family members.
Vanna’s heritage goes back several generations in the North Myrtle
Beach area. Vanna is a perfect example of the proverbial clean,
wholesome, unpretentious girl next door.
Vanna’s family reunion was held in the
fellowship hall of the Trinity United Methodist church in North Myrtle
Beach. Pictured from left to right are Paula White, Chef Liane Dart,
Cook Tracy Wilson, Server Samatha Hoback, Vanna White and family member
Gene Bayne. Thank you Vanna, for allowing us to serve your family.
This wedding reception took place at a private
horse ranch in Loris, SC. The beauty of our business is that we can
cook anywhere. For more pictures of this event please scroll to the
bottom of this page. That smiling chef in the background is our
precious “Newbie”, a freshman culinary student from our local technical
college. She is interning with us. She’s a keeper.

Banking is a very competitive business and
requires much teamwork to be a leader in the business. Wachovia Bank,
which just merged with First Union Bank, held a pep rally for their
administration and staff at the Myrtle Beach State Park. We grilled hot
dogs and hamburgers for more than 70 fired up, enthusiastic, vibrant
employees for their tailgate party last Friday. Here are a few of the
photos from that event.

Mariner’s Cove, a condominium community on Shore
Drive, is on the north edge of the marsh from the Dunes Club. The
President of their homeowners association is Ronnie Armeen, a devoted
Christian. Ronnie started a tradition with us last year by having our
crew come out and cater a “Good Friday” fish-fry for about a hundred
members of his homeowners association. He asked us to do it again this
year. We cooked up a mess of flounder and served it along with
barbecued pork and grilled chicken with green beans, potato salad and
coleslaw. This is one of the most congenial neighborhoods in Myrtle
Beach. Just look at the photos. These are the kind of people we love to
cater to.
