TBone Terry’s Outdoor Catering


Our most frequently asked question is “How much will it cost to cater my event?” or "What do you charge per person?" That’s like asking “How much is a car?” Without knowing a few details like how far will we have to go, how many people will we be feeding, what will they be eating, etc. It is an impossible question to answer without details. All our events are figured on the cost of the food and labor which varies from season to season. A total price is determined and then we divide this price by the number of guests to determine the cost per person. Everything is in writing so there are no surprises.


The labor charge is for our crew to shop for fresh food on the day of the event, to prepare that food and load the truck with tent, tables, equipment, food and supplies, to unload everything and set it all up, to cook and serve the food on your site, to repack everything and return to the commissary and to clean everything up for the next event. This takes the better part of a whole day.


As with most other hospitality trades, our employees depend on tips to supplement their income. We do not include these tips on our contracts. Customary gratuities are $30+ per cook server or bartender or a percentage of the total charge at your discretion.


Our minimum charge is $600 which includes taxes, labor and transportation to any point in Horry County, from Pawleys Island to Calabash, North Carolina. There is no minimum size party, however please understand that because of the flat labor charge, the price-per-person goes up as the number of guests goes down. Conversely, the larger the size of the event, the lower the price per person. If you have a small event and don’t want the expense of having it catered, we offer a “Cater-your-own-Barbeque” kit for only $145, plus 10 1/2% taxes. It has enough barbecue, beans, slaw, rolls and iced tea or lemonade to feed 25 guests and includes all plates, cups, napkins and utensils. Everything is refrigerated…you just take it home and heat it in the oven and serve it yourself. You can order ahead and pick it up at our commissary at 2952 Drywall Drive off 17 Bypass in Jetport Industrial Park. This is directly across the bypass from the South end of the Coastal Grande Mall in Myrtle Beach.


All catering events are custom quoted according to the level of food and service you require. We provide the serving tables with linen and skirting at no additional charge. We can arrange for bartenders, musicians, DJ,s, tents, tables, chairs, etc, all with proper notice. Our crew will arrive approximately two hours prior to serving time to prepare and cook the food. The serving time is clearly stated in the contract. This is the time that the food will be on the table and ready to eat. We recommend the serving time be at least 30 minutes after guest arrival time. We serve for a maximum of two hours unless contracted for in advance. We offer a wide variety of menu choices. All entrees come with at least two sides and a salad. The sides can be rice, baked beans, green beans, lima beans, corn, corn-on-the-cob, succotash, roasted red potatoes, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, etc. The salads can be coleslaw, potato salad, garden salad, Caesars salad, pasta salad, etc.



The following price guide is for food, based on parties of 50 guests or more, and does not include 10.5% taxes, our normal $200 labor charge (two employees) or gratuities. We have successfully catered events as small as two guests and as large as 1,600 guests. It’s a simple matter of logistics and 20 years experience. All prices are subject to change.
